Parade Update: Due to pending weather, the parade and trick-or-treating have been moved to this Saturday, 11/2.  The assembly time for the parade is now 1 PM at the Post Office.  All times below have been updated.  An official notice of the change is being sent out by Blairstown PD.  Please see our note below.

Assembly is at the Post Office at 1:00 PM.  The parade starts at 1:30 PM.  The parade route is Main Street to Bridge Street to Stillwater Road (Route 521).  The costume contest will be held at the Agway at the conclusion of the parade.  Cider and doughnuts will be available to all at the Fire Department.  No advance registration is required.

For your safety and convenience, North Warren CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) will be providing a First Aid station, Lost Child Meeting Space, Bathrooms, Changing Stations and Nursing Area at the Presbyterian Church.  Thanks to CERT for this important service, and to the church for the use of their facilities.

Parking is available at Blairstown Elementary School.  CERT members will provide crossing assistance across Stillwater Road.

Main Street, Bridge Street and Stillwater Road from the light to the Fire Department will be closed to traffic during the parade.

Fellow Residents,

Rotary understands that the change of date and time of the Halloween Parade is not desirable and inconvenient to many.  The difficult decision was made after discussion between police, fire and emergency services.  Everyone agreed that the event should be delayed due to the weather forecast.  The change was made 100% in the interest of the safety of the participants.  The new day and time were dictated by available resources of PD, FD and emergency services resources.  It was not canceled outright because we felt it was something many of the kids look forward to.

We look forward to a fun and safe event and hope that you can join us on Saturday.
