2026 NWRHS Scholarship Award Program
We are pleased to announce that thanks to the community support of our fundraising efforts, The Rotary Club of Blairstown will provide the following scholarship awards to North Warren Regional High School graduating seniors who exemplify the Rotary motto of “Service above Self” through their volunteer activities and actions. Examples include, but are not limited to, participation in a service club like Interact or Key Club, participating in organized mission trips, volunteering to help others, volunteering through community organizations like the YMCA, Special Olympics, United Way, food bank, scouting, church group, peer mentor programs, or tutoring.Rotary Club of Blairstown Jack Sweet Memorial Scholarship – One award of $3,000
To honor Jack Sweet, a Rotarian, teacher, coach, and principal at Blairstown High School and NWRHS this scholarship is awarded to a senior chosen based on their academic achievements, leadership skills, and commitment to community service. They must demonstrate integrity, compassion, and a strong sense of responsibility in their interactions with peers and faculty. The student should have made a significant positive impact within the school or local community and who demonstrate the Rotary motto of Service above Self.
Rotary Club of Blairstown William Caldwell Memorial Scholarship – One award of $3,000
In honor of William Caldwell, a Rotarian and former superintendent of NWRHS, this scholarship seeks to honor his legacy by supporting a deserving student who shares his dedication to character, scholarship, and selfless service. The recipient is chosen based on their academic achievements, exemplary conduct, and commitment to community service. They should demonstrate leadership qualities and consistently inspire others through their actions and dedication both inside and outside of the classroom.
Blairstown Rotary Interact Service Scholarship – Three awards of $1,000 each
Awarded to three senior members of the NWR Interact Club. They must exhibit exemplary character traits, such as integrity, leadership, and a dedication to community service, setting a positive example for their peers that encourages and fosters the ideals of service.
Blairstown Rotary Service Above Self Scholarship – Two awards of $1,000
Awarded to a senior who exhibits strong leadership skills, integrity, and a positive influence on their peers and community. Involvement in extracurricular activities and volunteer work further highlight their dedication to personal growth and altruism. The recipient demonstrates the Rotary motto of Service Above Self by setting a good example for others to provide humanitarian services, good will, and peace in the world.
Who is Eligible to Apply?
Graduating seniors attending North Warren Regional High School are eligible to apply. Financial need is not a consideration. Applying students will be considered for all awards.
Scholarships are available to students attending a 4‑year college, any accredited community college, or an accredited vocational, technical or trade school.
How to Apply?
Students apply by completing the 2026 NWRHS Scholarship Application: Application Link
Applicants should be as thorough and complete as possible, describing their volunteer activities and the impact it created.
- Applications must be typed. The form supports electronic entry. You may use additional pages and/or add attachments as required.
- Receipt deadline date will be provided by the NWRHS Guidance Department.
- Provide a resume documenting your school, extracurricular and work activities while attending NWRHS.
- Include a copy of your NWRHS transcript.
- Submit your package to the NWRHS Counseling Office by Friday, March 13, 2026
Interviews:
Applicants selected for consideration will require an individual interview with members of the Rotary Club of Blairstown Scholarship Selection Committee. Successful applicants will be notified by the NWRHS Guidance Department.
